Funny Lil' Guy

So, Landon is the funniest li' guy! Here are the pics and some short stories to prove it!
This picture is not staged. I looked over the bed to find Landon surrounded by his cookie binge coma! He discovered Shawn's Chilean cookie stash and apparently went to town (by the evidence of crumbs left on his face)! Then he found my board shorts to make a "nice pillow" for sleep.
I love this pic! Shawn set me up for a nice rest outside on the hammock, but of course Landon had to get in to test its comfort first!
Landon trying on Uncle Zach's cowboy hat - 3 sizes too big, but cute nonetheless!
Landon is known for climbing! This is in our old house, but if there's a treat on the table... Landon will find a way to climb up to get it!
This is a classic face! I believe he's in process of making his mommy's "leprechaun" or "grinch" face!

A few weeks ago Shawn took off the sides of Landon's crib to create Landon's "big boy" bed. I was a bit disgruntled at the thought of having to keep him in there! However, Shawn convinced me that this would help with a better night time routine of family prayers together. We've been trying to pray with Landon daily, but I just figured he wasn't picking up on it. The first night in his big boy bed Landon jumped in excitedly! We kneeled down to his bed and told him it was time to pray. Landon immediately leaped out to kneel. He folded his little arms together, bowed his head, closed his eyes, and said, "Dea Heaveny Fadder". Shawn proceeded to pray as Landon whisper gibberish is if he were praying too. Then he gave a big "Amen" when we ended.

We may think these little guys aren't picking up on our efforts and its a lost cause. However, this experience has taught me that these little guys understand more than we think they do!

Case and point:
Months ago when Landon was just a little guy (no more than 18 months), Landon, my Mom, and me were watching Little Mermaid during the "kiss the girl" scene. the fish were in a harmonic symphony of song and all puckering their lips to make Eric kiss Ariel.
Landon was sitting up glued to the t.v. The fish are persuasively whispering, "Go on, kiss the girl!" Suddenly, Landon turns back to me, puckers his lips, and gives me a kiss right on the lips! It was enough to melt a Mom's heart! He just comprehended the cartoon fish's request to... "kiss the girl" and he did just that!
